Garage Sale Permits
Garage Sale Regulations:
  • Signs are permitted only on your property:
    • On the day of the event & Maximum sign area is eight square feet
  • Temporary signs in the right-of-ways or on public property are not permitted.
  • Signs will be considered "litter" and will be removed by city authorities.
  • Maximum time period for garage sale is 3 days every 3 months.
Building Permits
The Permit Center is a centralized location for obtaining development permits and for acquiring information on all construction, zoning, and land use requirements for the City of DeRidder.  The City of DeRidder establishes rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, repair, removal, relocation, demolition, and the use and occupancy of buildings, structures or premises.  For more information please contact us at (337) 462-8900.
Chipper TruckThe City of DeRidder provides a Chipper Truck as a free service to the citizens of DeRidder.  For information regarding the chipper truck, please refer to the policy listed herein.
FEMA Information
The primary mission of FEMA is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.
Flood Information

The Public Works Department can assist area residents with the following: Flood Hazard Disclosure, Flood Insurance information, and Flood Insurance Rate Maps.  More information concerning floods can be obtained by clicking on the link below. 

Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission is a local group appointed government board charged with recommending to the local city council the boundaries of the various original zoning district and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and any proposed amendments thereto and shall collect data and keep itself informed as to the best practices generally in effect in the matter city planning and zoning to the end that it may be qualified to act on measures affecting the present and future movement of traffic, the segregation of residential and business districts and the convenience and safety of persons and property in any way dependent on city planning and zoning.
 
Planning & Zoning Commission meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month at 4:30 pm in the conference room located in City Hall.  For more information please call Marvin Simmons at 462-8900.
