1. Do I need a permit for a garage sale?

Yes a permit is required for a garage sale. Garage sale permits are $3.00 and can be purchased at the water office. You are only allowed one permit every three months and the permit is good for three days.

2. Does the city sell cemetery plots?

The city owns three cemeteries; Beauregard Cemetery, Community Cemetery, and Woodlawn Cemetery. Currently there are plots available at Beauregard and Woodlawn. The current rate for a cemetery plot is $562, payable by cash or check. This rate increases every year. This fee is to be paid in full at time of purchase, we cannot do payment plans.

3. What are the Farmer's Market hours and where is it located?

The DeRidder Farmer’s Market is located on Washington Avenue across from The Stadium Sports Grill. The farmer’s market is open 7 days a week but the hours are not regulated.

4. How do I get set up at the Farmer's Market?

All vendors must fill out a vendor application to set up at the DeRidder Farmer’s Market. Applications can be picked up at city hall.

5. How do I get a street light repaired?

If you have a streetlight out call 462-8900 with the pole number and address and we will get it repaired.

6. How do I get a big blue trash can?

Call Waste Solutions at 463-7211 for the blue trash cans.

7. Who do I call if I have large trash items or limbs?

Waste Solutions schedules pick ups of large trash items and limbs. Call 463-7211 to schedule pick up.

8. Who do I call to complain about my neighbor's lawn?

The City Code Enforcer handles all complaints about lawn maintenance. The Code Enforcer can be reached at City Hall at 462-8900.

9. Who do I call about a loose dog?

The DeRidder Police Department handles animal control. Call the dispatch office at 462-8903 for stray animals and animal clean up.
