DeRidder has recently been designated as a certified Tree City USA, a program sponsored by The National Arbor Day Foundation.  The program has successfully provided an increasing number of Louisiana communities with benefits inherent with being recognized.  With this title comes national recognition that will assist the city in gaining financial assistance and capturing public attention for our community forestry program.
