Members of the DeRidder High School Saxophone Ensemble played Christmas music around DeRidder on Thursday, Dec. 8, and spread some cheer.
There were eight students joined by two local players, Carolyn Herrington and Catherine Pabon. Band directors with them were Aaron Theall and Amanda Escue.
The group called themselves “Sleigh Full of Saxes” for the day.
They played at Beauregard Health System, BPSB Central Office, DeRidder City Hall, Beauregard Courthouse and at the high school, among other places. They also played at DeRidder Retirement and Rehabilitation.
